The Beni Ourain carpet owes its name to the Berber tribe of the same name, who live in the north-eastern foothills of the Middle to High Atlas Mountains. The production of the carpets is traditionally the responsibility of the women of the tribe and not only requires manual dexterity and skill, but above all perseverance, because this often takes several months. Even if there are now unusual, colorful variants of the Beni Ourain, the color scheme of the classic is kept in the natural colors of the sheep and ranges from light beige tones to ivory white, with black, gray or brown elements. Another characteristic of a Beni Ourain carpet is its geometric pattern - often in the form of diamonds or zigzag lines.
Thanks to its restrained and timeless design, a Beni Ourain rug fits into any room concept and is therefore an excellent choice for bedrooms, living rooms, children's rooms, corridors or offices.
Because it is made by hand, each carpet is unique: imperfections make the piece unique and set it apart from an industrially manufactured product as an original. The vertical crease that can be seen in the product image is caused by storage of the rug - once laid out, this will disappear after a few days.

Morocco at heart.
Soft hills, warmth of the sun, silence, in the distance you can hear the sheep, on the hills the carpets are spread out to dry, colored surfaces in the otherwise so calm landscape. This image presents itself to the viewer when visiting the carpet regions of Morocco.
Each piece is unique
Each of our carpets, be it made to measure or a one-off, is made by hand in Morocco. Each piece is unique. Great designers such as Le Corbusier, Charles and Ray Eames or Alvar Aalto have already appreciated the simplicity and coziness of the hand-knotted masterpieces and have used them in their projects and living spaces. There is not only a lot of wool in one square meter of carpet, but also a lot of skill, time and dedication of the weavers from the Atlas Mountains. After the knotting process, the rugs are combed clean, washed and sheared several times before they are ready for the living room. In every carpet that we are allowed to deliver to our customers there is a piece of Morocco with its very own history
