MY BENI meets MAYA & MARC

Overlooking Lake Zurich

A few weeks ago we were allowed to visit Maya and Marc in their home in Zurich. The couple, who are friends, live in a stylish, bright attic apartment on the upper Zürichberg. The large window front invites you to a view of the lake, city and Üetliberg - outside a beautiful autumn day. During the sunset the whole apartment lights up with a golden glow. "The best time to take pictures" - says Maya. Here we introduce the two and share insights into their everyday life and furnishings with you. To our carpets

Sophistication in the details

The creativity of the two residents is reflected in the apartment: Classic, timeless design furniture skilfully peppered with selected individual pieces from trips. Here you will find curated objects and deliberately placed books on architecture, art or fashion, without neglecting empty space and minimalism. The interior allows air to breathe and exudes a lot of calm. In addition to the Mandales carpet, there are also other My Beni pieces in the apartment. For example the 'Zigzag Vase', a gray 'cotton plaid' over the green sofa or the elegant vintage bowl, which can be found exclusively in our showroom.

New companion: Mandalas

The classic My Beni rug 'Mandales' in front of the green leather sofa and Eames lounge chair is the focal point of the apartment. The harmoniously furnished corner with the large banana palm immediately catches the eye as soon as you enter the apartment and is one of the highlights of the well thought-out rooms. The handmade wool carpet quickly became the focal point of the apartment. Here people read, laugh and enjoy. The reserved, simple carpet radiates calm, forms a beautiful contrast to the dark wooden parquet and embeds itself fantastically in the attic apartment. And the bitch quickly took a liking to the white companion and particularly likes the carpet as a place to rest.

At the table together

The large wooden table in front of the open chrome steel kitchen invites you to spend evenings together with good food, dear friends and a glass of red wine. The dark, patinated wood contrasts with the minimalist kitchen and is illuminated in the evening by the playful Menu lamp. On the day of the shoot, fruit from the green, semi-glazed Tamegroute bowl was served on top. As with many, the table has increasingly been used as a home office since the pandemic at the latest - the dog Peaches is always there.
